About Me

Hello, my name is Mark Ellison. My wife, Dawn, and I live in Milford, Michigan (a small town 40 miles outside of Detroit).

My primary passion in life is studying the fine art of living. I am driven to understand how we can maximize our lives during our short stay on earth. You could say that it runs in my bloodline. My uncle, Jerome Ellison, wrote several books relating to this subject. And, my father was very spiritual and loved to meditate. Dad had a life after death experience after his first heart attack, where he saw the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. This deeply influenced him for the rest of his life.

Some people collect baseball cards. I collect inspirational sayings. Some of my favorite ones go back thousands of years and include masters like Buddha, Jesus, Marcus Aurelius, Epictetus, Confucius, and numerous Zen masers. When I read their works, it is as if they are speaking to me across the ages. It is amazing that the problems that they dealt with back then are no different than the ones that we deal with today.

The purpose of this web site is to help uplift others with inspirational thoughts. There is so much negative programming out in the world. What this sad world needs most right now are warm, uplifting, loving, and joyful thoughts.
