Waking Up In Paradise

We are already fully awake. It’s just that sometimes we become forgetful.

There is nothing to be attained. We only need to realize what is already there.

a new day in paradise
Another day in paradise

Our awakened state of consciousness is always present and merely needs to be allowed, not pursued.

We have a tendency to spend too much time doing and not enough time being. Stop thinking and start resonating. Slow down and catch a glimpse of eternity.

Fall into the gaps between your thoughts. When you fall into one of these momentary gaps, linger a little longer.

The world is already full of seekers. Why not be a finder? Some people dream of enlightenment while others stay awake and realize it.

Enlightenment is knowing that we are already home. There is no place to go. We are already there!

Our liberation is at hand! We are now only one mindful breath away from a complete awakening.

Within each one of us is a divine resonance point that, when touched with awareness, brings about a holy rapture!

Simply reside in your natural state of love and return to it again and again.

We always have a choice. We can stay connected with the light or we can get lost in illusion.

We wake up when we realize that Separation is just a dream. We wake up when we realize that life is already perfect just the way it is.

Every difficulty leads to a new awakening. Every situation presents us with another opportunity to wake up. The advantage of our disadvantages lies in their transcendence.

We don’t need to go anywhere to wake up. The harder we seek it, the more it eludes us. The door is already open, we only have to walk through it. As Kabir put it,

“Wherever you are is the entry point.”

The sun is always shining, but it is often blocked out by the dark thoughts of our conditioned mind. The belief that we are imprisoned prevents us from perceiving our enlightened nature. Other times, love bursts forth in a flood of enlightenment and we perceive that luminous, dream-like nature of reality. Everything is doing just fine, if we are not getting too caught up in our stories and concepts.

Life provides us with a continuous flow of highs and lows. The awakened one responds to everything with love and remains in a constant state of bliss.

Glimpses of enlightenment can be found everywhere. Sometimes, it only takes one enlightened thought to set your world ablaze!

You cannot stop your awakening, any more than you can stop the sun from rising. Ultimately, we have no choice but to go in, for we are attracted like flies to the flames of the great all-consuming fire.

Below is some of the great wisdom of the ages. The following quotes are signposts pointing to your enlightened reality, your true nature. Words, however, are only like a hand pointing at the moon. To experience the ultimate reality that these sayings are pointing to, take a moment to Feel the energy associated with the words and let them lift you higher.

The average human
looks without seeing and listens without hearing.
Leonardo Da Vinci (1452-1519)

As one gets the fragrance of a flower by handling it,
in the same way one becomes spiritually awakened
by constantly thinking of God.
Paraphrasing Sarada Devi (1852-1920)

“To the illuminated mind
the whole world burns and sparkles with light.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)

Allow your love to grow
until your entire being
is set ablaze with light and love.

“Go, go, go beyond,
go beyond beyond.
Awaken on the far shore in enlightenment.”
The Heart Sutra (600-700)

“The temple bell stops
But the sound keeps coming
Out of the flowers.”
BASHO (1644-1694)

“Here it is – right now.
Start thinking about it and you miss it.”
HUANG PO (?-850)

Dwell within the depths of your own true nature.
Do not seek your home elsewhere.
Your inner radiance alone, is the inexhaustible abundance
for which you have longed so desperately,
Paraphrasing Sri Ramakrishna (1836-1886)

Walking alone;
Happy alone.
Masaoka Shiki (1867-1902)

An awake heart
is like a sky that pours light.
Hafez (1315-1390)

There is one spectacle grander than the sky,
that is the interior of the soul.
Victor Hugo (1802-1885)
